And What Alice Found There
This week I will be helping to set up and run a small pin up exhibition for myself and my fellow final year students at University. The show will feature just one image per student and will act as a sort of 'taster' ready for our end of year exhibition in June. The projects are all work in progress but I'm excited as it will be the first time I have ever actually exhibited my work to the public! The image I have chosen is one I took a few months ago when I was back in the Lake District on a walk up to Alcock Tarn near Grasmere.
As I have previously mentioned, my project is focusing on the scale of the environment in comparison to humans, hopefully to try and show how we are not as in control of the world as we might think. Nature is always more powerful and unpredictable. This has been proven in the recent flooding in Cumbria as well and just goes to show how the force of nature can cause so much devastation to a community!
If you're in the area and would like to pop in and see the exhibition, then please feel free! We will be situated on the second floor of Byram Arcade in Huddersfield (just up the road from Nandos!) and the opening night will be on Tuesday 15th December from 6-9pm. The show will also be open during the day on Wednesday 16th from 10am-4pm - hope to see you there!
