And What Alice Found There
So finally, 4 months after first posting a trailer for my USA film, the finished video is here! Various things have got in the way of me making this film sooner and after months of playing catch up on the massive backlog of editing that had built up for me, I have eventually caught up and found some time to return to my film.
I've been making short films of my travels since I went trekking through the Amazon jungle in 2012. I find it's a great way to show people photos and videos without them getting too bored, and also helps me to relive the experience once I'm back home again.
Most of my films are only around 5-10 minutes long but because we did so much and visited so many different places while in the USA this film is considerably longer. It's 20 minutes long which to some people might seem like a really long time to watch a video of somebody else's travels but honestly, if you are at all interested in travelling, ever thinking of visiting the USA, enjoy some classic American tunes, or just like looking at nice photos then I urge you to try and watch the entire video (and I'm not just saying that because I made it)! There's photos and video clips in this film that I haven't shared before and I've put them to music that not only fits in with the places we visited, but also helps to create an atmosphere where you can really delve in and imagine how Route 66 might have felt back in it's heyday.
As most of you will know (or any of you that read my USA blog posts) this trip really was a dream come true and a once in a lifetime experience. Driving along the iconic Route 66 that so many people long to see with their own eyes was so incredible that I had to keep pinching myself to check it was real! We visited so many places that I never thought I would get the chance to see, and had so many wonderful experiences that looking back at this video actually brings a tear to my eye. What I would give to be back there, living the dream and being the happiest I've felt in a long time...
So (drumroll please)....the final video is below!
Congratulations to anyone who made it through to the end - I hope you enjoyed it!
Keep your eyes peeled for my next adventure across the globe, hopefully coming soon...
